The Vine Primary School went to the Cape town Philharmonic Orchestra rehearsal on Thursday 11 May as part of their school's 11th birthday celebrations. All classes study two composers a year so classical music is not new to them.
The students were excited to visit the Town Hall for the first time and enjoyed a magical performance by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. All students study two famous composers each year and so classical music is not new to them. They loved watching the various instruments being played as well as watching the fast finger action of international pianist Vitaly Pisarenko. With tears in his eyes one of the Grade 3 boys simply said, "that was so beautiful."
Double bass player Zanelle Britz is seen here with The Vine School pupils.
