Welcome to the Vine School family. We’d like you to feel at home as soon as possible, so please read the information below. It will tell you what to expect and how best to prepare your child for the transition into ‘big school’ or a move from one school to another.

All prospective pupils spend at least one day at the school as part of the application process. Children may wear civvies or the school uniform of their current school. They will spend time in the classroom and complete a short assessment.

On the day please arrive at the school office at 7:50. The class teacher will meet you and ensure that your child is accompanied to assembly and then to the classroom.

Newcomers Day

A Newcomers Day for all new parents is held before school starts in January every year. At least one parent is required to attend this very important orientation day, where you will meet the Principal and other parents. We present information about the school's expectations and advice on how best to support your child at school. The school uniform shop will be open to buy new or second hand items.

Parking - drop off and collection

Please treat Denver Road as a one way during the busiest time of day when pupils arrive or are collected from school.  Travel in a North-bound direction, from Imam Haron Road towards Lawson Road, and stop or park only on the school side of Denver Road. This relieves congestion and promotes road safety, as children can embark and disembark without crossing the road.  Please do not stop in front of the school gate.
